During the month of November our thoughts turn
to Thanksgiving. Consider the following scriptures related to the
giving of thanks to God. "O Come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us
make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come
before his presence with thanksgiving, and
make a joyful noise unto him with psalms."
Psalm 95:1-2
"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the
LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye
that the LORD he is God: it is he who has made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his
gates with thanksgiving, and into his
courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to
all generations." Psalm
100
"Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice. Let your
moderation be known to all men for the Lord is near. Be anxious
for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known
to God."
Philippians 4:4-6
Let us have a thankful heart to God for his
creation, for salvation, for all his blessings.
